The Platform Object Model Package (POMP) provides recommended improvements to the Navy Aviation Simulation Master Plan (NASMP) Standard, which is comprised of: NASMP Federation Agreements Document (FAD), NASMP Federation Object Model (FOM), Guidance Rationale and Interoperability Manuals (GRIMs) and Interest Matrix (IM). The POMP will be used by the Government to update the NASMP standard; NASMP Federation Agreements Document (FAD) (Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, 12211 Science Dr. Orlando, FL 32826, 407-380-4379).
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task described in the contract Statement of Work.
This DID supersedes DI-ADMN-82157.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.Contractor format is acceptable.
3Content.The POMP shall contain the following:

3.1.3Revision date (if applicable).
3.1.5Contractor's name and address.
3.1.6Distribution Statement.
3.1.7Export Control Warning Label.
3.1.8Security classification.
3.2The POMP shall define the changes to the NASMP FOM.These object model files may be organized by application-specific Base Object Models (BOMs).
3.3Corresponding Guidance, Rationale, and Interoperability Manuals (GRIMs) in the POMP document the submitted extensions to the NASMP FOM, organized by BOM.
3.4The POMP shall update the Interest Matrix (IM), defined by the NASMP FAD, in accordance with the trainer's federates' current publication and subscription settings.
3.5The POMP shall contain the collection of Change Requests (CRs) for both the NASMP FOM and the NASMP FAD.
