Description & Purpose

The Provisioning Data Cover Page will be used to record the data required to identify the end item being provisioned. It will be used to support full-support provisioning, configuration-only provisioning, and for the establishment of Advance Repairable Identification Codes (RICs).

Application & Interrelationship

7.1 This data item description contains the content and format preparation instruction for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement delineated in the contract.

7.2 This DID is used as part of the provisioning process. It is related to DID DI-ILSS-81285, Provisioning Technical Documentation.

Preparation Instructions

10.1Format.The Provisioning Data Cover Page shall be the NAVSEA Form 4423/3.

10.2Content.The Provisioning Data Cover Page shall contain the data fields as specified on the DD Form 1423 Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).

10.3Media requirements.The media required for this cover page shall be specified on the DD Form 1423 Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).

10.4The cover page shall be preparedfor each Provisioning Contract Control Number (PCCN) package for which a Provisioning Parts List (PPL) is submitted, for each PCCN package that will be submitted (Advanced RICs), and for each PCCN package for which a configuration-only (CoRIC) will be developed.
