This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.
This DID is applicable to engineering (developmental), preliminary qualification, qualification, and acceptance testing.
This DID supersedes DI-ATTS-80041A.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.Contractor format is acceptable.
3Content.The TRD shall include four parts for each item being tested. All test parameters and test conditions shall be independent of any specific test equipment's. The TRD shall include the following information.
3.1Part AA detailed description of the performance characteristics of each system, subsystem, unit, and subassembly (referred to as Units-Under-Test (UUT)) and a summary of the total testing requirements including input conditions, outputs measurements, and test points.
3.1.1Functional name of the UUT and supplier's part numbers.
3.1.2All inputs and their range and tolerance.
3.1.3All outputs in terms of their range, accuracy, and relationship to the input conditions.
3.1.4All test points identified by test connector, pin designator, function, and signal (input and output) conditions.This will include the specific parameters that can be measured at the test point and the value(s) expected.
3.2Part BThe performance tests required to complete exercise the UUT in various modes of operation to reveal any degradation in performance characteristics.
3.3Part CThe diagnostic tests and support equipment required to isolate and diagnose a fault(s) detected during the UUT performance testing. Fault isolation will be to the lowest component part possible.
3.4Part DThe Automatic Test Markup Language (ATML) for the Part B performance tests and the Part C diagnostic tests in accordance with Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Standards 1671.1 and 1671.3. (Copies of these standards are available online at https://www.ieee.org/.)
