Description & Purpose
3.1 The Performance Verification and Endurance Test Plan defines all the tests required to ensure that the EMCS meets technical, operational, and performance requirements.
3.2 The Performance Verification and Endurance Test Plan will be used for an in-process review of the testing to ensure that the proper tests, procedures, and equipment are used for the test.
Application & Interrelationship
7.1 This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for the Performance Verification and Endurance Test Plans required by paragraph 4.2 of MIL-STD-2203A.
7.2 This DID is related to DI-ATTS-80364A, Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) Performance Verification and Endurance Test Procedures; DI-ATTS-80365A, Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) Performance Verification and Endurance Test Reports; and DI-ATTS-80366A, Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) Endurance Test Failure Reports.
7.3 This DID supersedes DI-ATTS-80363.
Preparation Instructions
10.1Format.The Performance Test Plan shall be in the contractor's format.
10.2Content.The test plan shall contain the following:
10.2.1Installed system block diagram.
10.2.2System hardware description.
10.2.3System software description.
10.2.4Operator's command.
10.2.5I/O summary tables with failure modes for test points.
10.2.6Required passwords for each operator access level.
10.2.7Description of each type of digital I/O and analog I/O to be used in the test.
10.2.8List of test equipment.
10.2.9Surge and overvoltage protection circuits diagrams.
10.2.10For each application programs shown in the I/O summary table, the plan shall include:
10.2.10.1Inputs required for each program (I/O point values and status) and corresponding expecting results for each set of input values.
10.2.10.2Default values for the program inputs not implemented or provided for in the contract documents for the application programs to be tested.
10.2.10.3Failure modes for each I/O function to be tested.
10.2.11Milestones for test exercises.
10.2.12Identification of simulation programs, equipment, personnel, and facilities required.
10.2.13Identification of capabilities and functions to be tested, including values and situations that comprise the test.
10.2.14Identification of all areas where physical and functional details of the system to be tested differ from the generic system, including explanations of the differences.
