Description & Purpose
3.1 This data will document the procedures for the manual and automated test of integrated circuits. This documentation will provide information to allow full understanding of the testing strategy, techniques, programs, and specific equipment (commercial and unique) employed.
Application & Interrelationship
7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
7.2 This DID is usually used in conjunction with the following DIDs: DI-MCCR-80499 (Integrated Data, Computer Aided Chip Development); DI-MCCR-80500 (Integrated Circuit Data, Computer Aided Cell Development); and DI-T-5477A (Parts Qualification Test Plan).
7.3 This DID supersedes DI-E-5432A.
Preparation Instructions
10.1Format.The documentation may be in the contractor's format.
10.2.1Documentation.The documentation shall be presented in a logical and comprehensive order and consist of all manual and automated test procedures for parametric, functional, and dynamic testing of wafers, chips, and hybrid devices. It shall include:
10.2.1.1Technical memorandums
10.2.1.2Engineering reports
10.2.1.3Engineering test procedures
10.2.1.4Test equipment lists
10.2.1.6Source code (alphanumeric) of the test software programs
10.2.2Performance Board Documentation.The performance board documentation shall fully describe the loading and interfacing requirements necessary between the device being tested and the tester itself, and include any other unique or related tester documentation, such as burn-in and life test circuitry.
10.2.3Test Software Programs.
10.2.3.1Commercial.If the automated tester is a commercially available system, the documentation shall include:
10.2.3.1.1A magnetic tape containing both source and executable code
10.2.3.1.2A hardcopy printout of the source code.
10.2.3.1.3A directory listing of all files and their order on the digital media.
10.2.3.1.4The release level of the software.
10.2.3.1.5The model number of the tester.
10.2.3.2Contractor developed.If the program is a unique contractor developed program, the documentation shall include:
10.2.3.2.1The program source code on a nine track magnetic tape, 1600 PI, odd parity, and in ASCII format.
10.2.3.2.2A directory listing the files and their order on the digital media.
10.2.4Title page.The alphanumeric source code printout of the test software program shall contain a title page with the following information:

10.2.4.3Contractor name and address
10.2.4.4Integrated circuit technology name
10.2.4.5Date of preparation
10.2.4.6Security classification
10.2.4.7Device drawing number and revision
10.2.5Labeling.The digital media shall be labeled with the following information:
