Installation Design Reservation Data provides the preliminary information required, by the design agent or shipyard, to initiate installation planning for electronic equipment installations.

Application & Interrelationship

7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the Installation Design Reservation Data resulting from the work task described by 3.3.1 of MIL-D-23140.

7.2 This DID is applicable to the acquisition of electronic systems and equipments.

1Reference documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2Format.Installation Design Reservation Data format shall be contractor selected.

3Content.Installation Design Reservation Data shall provide preliminary information to permit a design agent or shipyard to initiate installation planning for electronic equipment. Data shall represent maxima quantities where precise information is not available. Specific content requirements shall be as specified in 3.3.1 of MIL-D-23140.
