Description & Purpose
The Shock Management Plan describes the Contractor's procedures to integrate the shock requirements into the equipment procurement and installation.
Application & Interrelationship
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
10.1Format.The Shock Management Plan shall be in Contractor's format.
10.2Content.The Shock Management Plan shall include the following sections:
10.2.1Purpose and Scope.This section shall identify the purpose, scope, and general applicability of the Shock Management Plan. Also, a list of those specifications, standards, manuals, and other documents applicable to the shock management requirements shall be included. The implementation of the Shock Management Plan shall also be included in this section.
10.2.2Organization.This section shall identify the organization for shock management and shall include:
10.2.2.1Relationships among the project and functional organizations.
10.2.2.2Responsibilities and authority for shock management of all participating groups and organizations.
10.2.2.3Internal policies and directives relating to shock design.
10.2.2.4Provide a sample vendor purchase order/subcontract which contains the shock requirements as invoked.
10.2.3Shock Requirements Definition.This section shall define the responsibilities and requirements as set forth in the ship specifications and contract.
10.2.4Installation Design Integration.This section shall include the engineering design and installation integration methods to be employed to accomplish the shock requirements of the ship specifications.
10.2.5Schedule.Schedule of procurement and installation of Grade "A" and "B" equipment and systems.
10.2.6Reports.Sample shock reports required to be submitted under this contract shall be included.
