The Radioactive Source Certificate of Calibration will be used to provide the government with the certification use and disposition of radioactive sources.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
2Format.The Radioactive Source Certificate of Calibration shall be in contractor format.
3Content.The Radioactive Source Certificate of Calibration shall contain the following:
3.1A certification statement by the manufacturer that certifies the radioactive source is National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable.
3.2A certification statement by the manufacturer that certifies the source contains no hazardous material that would affect its disposal as waste, other than its radioactive content.
3.3The activity of the source
3.4The activity of each of the nuclides in the source
3.5The uncertainty value, reference time and date
3.6The activity of any gamma emitting impurities detected (expressed as a percentage of the activity of the main nuclide as reference time and date)
3.7Density and volume of active volume
3.8The vendor assigned source serial number
3.9International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Classification
3.10The results and date of leakage testing
