The MILCON Interface Control Document (ICD) describes the design interfaces with the contractor's design and the MILCON design. This document shall be retained for reference by the operations and maintenance personnel.
This DID contains the format, content, and intended use information for the MILCON ICD. It is intended that all requirements contained herein shall apply to all applicable DoD acquisition programs through all program phases.
The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
1Format.Contractor format is acceptable. Format shall be machine-readable by the government.
2.1Cover Page and Document Tracking Information.
2.1.1Cover Page.Title, Date of Issue, Revision Date, Contract Number, Contractor's name and address, Distribution Statement, Export Control Warning Label, and Security classification
2.1.2Record of Change Page.Enter a record of all changes made to the Interface Control Document package
2.2Table of Contents.A listing of the major sections identified as below.
2.3Applicability.Describe the purpose of the document.
2.4Content.The document shall contain the following:
2.4.1.1Drawings.Provide drawing(s) and descriptions that:
2.4.1.1.1Outline the interfaces and compatibility betweenOutline the interfaces and compatibility between the Government MILCON Facilities Requirements Document (FRD) and the contractor Delta Facilities Requirements Document (Delta FRD).
2.4.1.1.2Describe and detail the interfaces forDescribe and detail the interfaces for power, utilities, communications, security, plumbing, fire/protection, and mechanical.
2.4.1.2Interface Identification and Diagrams.Provide the unique identifier assigned to the interface and identify the interfacing entities by name, number, version, and documentations reference, as applicable. Ensure that the drawings contain the interface identifier.
2.4.1.3Characteristics.Provide the characteristics and thresholds of each interface. Note any de-rating factors implemented in the interface.
2.4.1.4Standard.Provide the standard(s) on each interface for which it applies.
2.4.2Requirements Traceability.Provide the requirements traceability for each interface.
