The Test String Configuration is a record for each test event, allowing for test results reproducibility.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the Test String Configuration resulting from the work task described in the contract. It is intended that all requirements contained herein shall apply to all applicable DoD acquisition programs through all program lifecycle phases.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.The Test String Configuration shall be in contractor's format. The format shall be machine-readable by the government.
3Content.The Test String Configuration shall contain the following:
3.1A copy of all drawings that are currently in use for the program product at the time of the test.
3.2Schematics of the Test String Configuration in accordance with MIL-HDBK-863 (https://quicksearch.dla.mil/qaSearch.aspx)
3.3A complete inventory listing of modified test string equipment.
3.4All software configuration settings, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) settings, Operating System (OS) settings, and radar site settings.
