The Site Preparation Requirements and Installation Plan defines requirements and responsibilities for the coordinated, integrated Government and contractor site preparation and installation efforts of the deliverable end product(s).
This Data Item Description (DID) contains format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
This DID may be applied in any program phase and contract which contains Site preparation requirements.
This DID supersedes DI-MGMT-80033.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.None.
2General.The following general instructions shall apply to the Site Preparation Requirements and Installation Plan:
2.1TextTypewritten or by such other office composition machine(s) as may be available, provided no additional cost is incurred by the Government for such method of preparation and the delivered plan can be reproduced by standard office copying equipment.
2.2Diagram/DrawingBe in accordance with the contractor's standard engineering drawing practices.
2.3Illustration/GraphsIllustrative material, e.g., charts, graphs, photographs, sketches, etc., shall be in accordance with the contractor's normal methods for such data.
2.4LegibilityThe complete plan, including appendices, attachments, illustrations, graphics, etc., shall be clear, legible and reproducible.
3Format.The plan shall be in Contractor's format.
4Content.Contents of the plan shall include the following as applicable:
4.1A detailed description by major subheadings, of all installation work to be done by the contractor at the site, to include scheduling and dependency of the various tasks.
4.2A site layout plan including detailed layouts (placement) of all equipment, racks, cabinets and console.
4.3General equipment specification to include:
4.3.1Physical specificationsheight, length, width, and weight (floor loading) of each equipment rack, cabinet and console.
4.3.2Equipment rack, cabinet and console template.
4.3.3Manufacturer's specific machine configuration and space requirements.
4.3.4Maintenance access requirements for each equipment, rack cabinet and console.
4.3.5Special operational line-of-sight requirements between various equipment.
4.4A lighting plan to include general and special lighting requirements.
4.5A site and/or facility construction section detailing all required structural modifications or additions plans.
4.6An electrical power utilization section to include requirements plans for:
4.6.1Input voltages, frequency, and tolerances.
4.6.3KVA required for each rack, cabinet and console and the type of termination to government's power supply, cable connections, terminal strip, etc.
4.6.4Phasing number and color code of conductors per cabinet.
4.6.5Location of power and signal entry points and their respective hole sizes.
4.6.6Generator and control cabinet dimensions and specifications, control wiring and emergency off requirements.
4.7A section containing the plans for an equipment inter-unit cabling, wave guide and wiring, and lists.
4.8A cooling section containing plans which show facility and equipment air conditioning requirements, water requirements, and any special cooling requirements, to include:
4.8.1Operating areas environmental conditions:
4.8.1.2Relative humidity range
4.8.1.3Atmospheric pressure
4.8.2Equipment air conditioning requirements which shall specify:
4.8.2.1Type of air conditioning required, i.e., ambient or forces air.If forced air is indicated, required static air pressure shall be specified.
4.8.2.2Type of air carrier, i.e., sub floor or overhead duct
4.8.2.3Location of each equipment rack, cabinet and console of the required overhead ducts of sub floor opening and their respective sizes.
4.8.2.4Equipment operating and non-operating environmental conditions, e.g., temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity
4.8.3Operating requirements and capabilities of air conditioning equipment to include:
4.8.3.4C.F.M./each, temperature, relative humidity range
4.9Shipping requirements and related information to include:
4.9.1Names of time span of contractor personnel to be used at the installation site to ascertain delivery routes, dock facilities and to perform equipment installation.
4.9.2Special requirements for on-site movement of equipment/systems.
