The Coordinated Test Plan presents a general outline for a total test for a system for the testing and evaluation conducted during development, and coordinates the engineering and service tests. This plan is used in preparation of detailed test plans, schedules, procedures, and to establish the test logic, schedule procedures, test objectives, and design verification for the integration of subsystems.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.
b. This DID is applicable to any system or equipment requiring test.
c. This DID supersedes DI-MGMT-80937.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference Documents.None.
2Format.The Coordinated Test Plan format shall be contractor selected.
3Content.The Coordinated Test Plan shall include the overall test program, a description of hardware to be tested, test schedules, test objectives, test requirements, and test procedures for accomplishing system integration.
3.1Test program.The Coordinated Test Plan shall outline a program, which shall include data to indicate the effects of system integration. The test program content shall:
3.1.1Describe procedures for verifying system performance.
3.1.2Define interface problems.
3.1.3Identify how system gains, response, and operation are established.
3.1.4Describe how system performance is established under severe environmental conditions, including nuclear weapons effects.
3.1.5Describe procedures for proving that flight test instrumentation operates in accordance with design requirements.
3.1.6Provide qualitative system performance data.
3.2Individual test plans.Individual test plans content contained in the Coordinated Test Plan shall cover all related equipment to be tested for determining adequacy and compatibility of the system and shall contain the following:
3.2.1Test requirements to prove adequacy of individual parts of individual items.
3.2.2Test requirements to prove adequacy of subassemblies and assemblies of various subsystems of the system.
3.2.3Functional test requirements of various subsystems, individually and combined, to determine effects of individual subsystems on each other in the system.
3.2.4Test requirements of packaged equipment to determine adequacy for transporting, storing, handling, and environmental conditions.
3.2.5Test requirements to determine compliance with reliability, maintainability, nuclear survivability, safety, and human factors engineering.
3.2.6Functional test requirements of complete system to determine satisfactory operation and performance.
3.2.7Description of the location and duration of tests, extent of Government and contractor participation, and test instrumentation.
3.2.8Identification of any Government equipment or systems required to support the tests.
3.3Performance.The Coordinated Test Plan shall include a description of the experimental design for obtaining data, delineate functions and tolerances, and establish and explain standards, tests, associated analysis, and other means for constituting proof that performance can be achieved in operational use.
