The Production Status Report provides hardware build and delivery information for the specified reporting period. This report is utilized for surveillance of production contracts.

Application & Interrelationship

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions

10.1Format.The Production Status Report format shall be contractor selected. Unless effective presentation would be degraded, the initially used format arrangement shall be used for all subsequent submissions.

10.2Content.The Production Status Report shall contain the following:

10.2.1Identification.The data indicated below shall be contained in a title page or on the first page of the report.

10.2.1.1Title or identification of the system, component, program, or project.

10.2.1.2Type of report (e.g., monthly, interim, final).

10.2.1.3Period covered by the report.

10.2.1.4Contract number.

10.2.1.5Preparing activity or contractor's title.

10.2.1.6Security classification, when required.

10.2.1.7Distribution statement.

10.2.2Summary.The summary shall include a brief statement of overall production build and delivery status.

10.2.3Production delivery (DD250) status.The production delivery (DD250) status for the reporting period shall be as follows: PRODUCTION DELIVERY (DD250) STATUS MONTH CLIN# S CS D CD S: CONTRACT SCHEDULE BY MONTH CS: CUMULATIVE CONTRACT SCHEDULE BY MONTH D: DELIVERIES BY MONTH (ACTUAL AND FORECASTED) CD: CUMULATIVE DELIVERIES BY MONTH * IDENTIFY BY CONTRACT LINE ITEM NUMBER (CLIN) HOW MANY UNITS ARE PERIODIC ENVIRONMENTAL TEST (PET), QUALITY ASSURANCE LOT ACCEPTANCE TEST (QALAT) EXPENDED, QALAT RETIRED, OR AS REQUIRED BY THE PROCURING ACTIVITY.

10.2.6Hardware shipment status.The hardware shipment status for the reporting period shall be as follows: HARDWARE SHIPMENT STATUS CLIN #: SHIP DATE SHIP QUANTITY DESTINATION

10.2.7Contract deliveries status.Production build and delivery status including the prior month's build and deliveries by CLIN and the forecasted build and deliveries by CLIN by month for the remainder of the contract delivery period. A statement shall be included to indicate whether contract deliveries are on schedule; if not on schedule, state reason(s) for delinquencies and recommendations for recovery. Also include all assumptions which form the basis of the build and delivery forecast.

10.2.8Report preparer.Name of person(s) preparing report and telephone number(s).

10.2.9Appendices.Appendices, where applicable, for tables, references, charts, or other descriptive material. Each appendix shall be identified and referenced in the appropriate area of the report.
