Task Group Instructions (TGIs) are used to provide work instruction for repair and maintenance of naval vessels.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated to perform specific and discrete repair, maintenance or modernization as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions

1Format.The TGI shall be in the Contractor's format.

2Content.The TGI shall contain detailed directions necessary to perform contracted repair, maintenance or modernization functions.

2.1The TGI shall also identify the following:

2.1.1All replacement parts

2.1.2Materials needed

2.1.3Recommendations for the phase of work needed

2.1.4Corrective actions needed

2.1.5Testing requirements, if applicable

2.2The TGI shall also identify any special equipment needed to perform tasks.
