The interim training development package is required to meet training needs prior to establishment of the formal follow-on training to ensure the fleet obtains training required on systems to meet operational commitments.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task required as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
1Format.The interim training development package shall be presented in the contractors own format.
2Content.The interim training development package shall contain a cover page specifying the system title.
2.1The interim training development package shall contain the following sections:
2.1.1Pre-test.This section of the package shall contain, one question, for each terminal and enabling objective to be covered in the training; and an answer key.
2.1.2Instructor guide.This section shall include an introduction to the system and shall contain the following to be used by the instructor of the training:
2.1.3Table of contents.This section of the package shall include a list of all content sections of the interim training package.
2.1.4Course Outline.This section of shall include:
2.1.4.1Brief description of course
2.1.4.4Associated training time for each topic
2.1.4.5Indicate training location (classroom/lab/field)
2.2Resources.This section of the package shall identify the following to support training conduct:
2.2.1Audio-visual equipment
2.2.3Technical training equipment
2.2.4Shipboard/aircraft/shore assets
2.2.5Classroom requirements
2.2.6Instructor requirements
2.3Terminal Learning Objectives (TLO).This section of the package shall include performance (behaviors), conditions, and standards for knowledge and skills the students must acquire to satisfactorily complete the topics presented.
2.4Enabling Learning Objectives (ELO).This section of the package shall include specific statements of behavior to be exhibited, the conditions under which they are to be exhibited, and the standard to which they shall be performed that support the TLO's.
2.5Instructional Media.This section of the package shall contain the presentation material that supports the TLO's and ELO's discussed.
2.6References.This section shall include all references used in the development of the package.
2.7Post-test.This section of the package shall contain:
2.7.1A minimum of one test question for each TLO presented in the conduct of the training
2.7.3Lab sheets identifying skills to be performed by the student in a lab/shipboard
2.8Student guide.This section of the package shall contain:
2.8.1Detailed information on each TLO/ELO learning objective
2.8.2Instructions for a task/learning activity that each student will perform
2.9Student Critiques.This section of the package shall contain:
2.9.6Location of training
2.9.7Effectiveness of instructor performance
2.9.8Course effectiveness evaluation
2.9.9Evaluation of classroom support
3Media requirement.The electronic media requirement shall be Microsoft Office, version 2007-2010.
