The Report on Acceptance Inspection Equipment/Automated Acceptance Inspection Equipment (AIE/AAIE) will provide comprehensive documentation of the required inspection test equipment to be used in final inspection of a product.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirements as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as cited in the current issue of DODISS at the time of the solicitation; or, for non DODISS-listed documents, as stated herein.
2Format.The Report shall be in contractor format.
3Content.The Report shall include a cover page specifying the following elements:
3.2Contractor's company name and CAGE Code.
3.3Item name or drawing nomenclature.
3.5Document revision (first revision will be indicated with a "-").
3.7Signature block with both typed and signature of submitter.
3.8The Report shall contain a list of all inspection/testing equipment required by the technical data package to inspect all characteristics, including the following:
3.8.1All inspection devices, including Government furnished, contractor designed, and commercially acquired.
3.8.2Details of processes which are essential to achieving the engineering requirements of the item when these processes are not published or generally available to industry.
3.8.3Dimensions and tolerances of feature.
3.8.4Proposed inspection equipment, gage and/or tool.
3.8.5Accuracy and Resolution of equipment gage and/or tool.
3.8.6Description of the inspection procedures.
3.8.7Description of operating procedures.
3.9Specific calibration information and how it complies with ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006 and ISO 10012-2003 shall be specified.
4Media requirements.The plan shall be in Microsoft Word/Excel, Version 2007-2010.
