The Baggage Resolution Center Daily Log documents the status of the contractors' effort towards achieving contract objectives. It identifies open and resolved mishandled baggage claims. The Daily Log will be utilized by the government to identify average resolution time, locations with high loss rates, and to create a monthly report.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.
Preparation Instructions

2Format.The Baggage Resolution Center Daily Log shall be in Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel format.
3Content.The Baggage Resolution Center Daily Log shall contain the following:
3.1.1Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES)-generated Baggage Service Center (BSC) Case File Number
3.1.2Passenger name associated with the BSC Case File Number
3.1.3Number of bags associated with each claim
3.1.4Branch of service of each passenger filing a baggage claim
3.1.5Type of baggage claim (e.g., lost, found, damaged, or pilfered)
3.1.6Air carrier name associated with each baggage claim
3.1.7Reporting station that initiated each baggage claim
3.1.8Status of each baggage claim (e.g., baggage received, forms sent, duplicate case file)
3.1.9Date on which reimbursement message, baggage form, and Air Mobility Command (AMC) Form 134 were sent to each passenger for damaged, lost, or pilfered baggage claims
3.1.10Date each baggage claim closed
3.1.11Additional remarks (e.g., follow-up email sent to passenger, passenger responded, passenger did not submit baggage form)
3.2.1Number of open mishandled baggage claims
3.2.2Number of resolved mishandled baggage claims, to include:
3.2.2.1Number of claims resolved by bag returned to the passenger
3.2.2.2Number of claims directed to Department of Defense (DoD) for reimbursement or to contract air carrier for reimbursement
