Description & Purpose

Technical Data Assessment provides an automated data base on the assessment of a specified area of technology research. The data is used to acquire an assessment of an area of technology research.

Application & Interrelationship

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.

10PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

10.1Format.The Technical Data Assessment base shall be entered on magnetic tape in the following format:

10.1.19-track.

10.1.2EBCDIC or ASCII

10.1.31600 Bpi

10.1.41 Record per block

10.2Content.The following data elements are applicable:

10.2.1Technical area as specified by contract, limit to 50 character and left justified.

10.2.2Technology as specified by contract, limit to 50 characters and left justified.

10.2.3Application related system and limit to 50 characters, left justified.

10.2.4Text.Assessment of the technology as follows:

10.2.4.1Maturity date. (yymm)

10.2.4.2Producibility.Begin this field with "PRODUCABI" followed by the data and limit to 200 characters.

10.2.4.3Parametric description.Begin this field with "PARBOUNDS" followed by the data and limit to 200 characters.

10.2.4.4Limits on performance.Begin this field with "PERLIMITS" followed by the data and limit to 200 characters.

10.2.5Reference.Identify the basis of the assessment as follows:

10.2.5.1Date of publication. (yymm)Limit to 4 characters.

10.2.5.2Document reference.Limit to 18 characters, left justified.

10.2.5.3Country of origin.Limit to 2 characters.

10.2.5.4Author.Begin with "AUTHOR" followed by the data and limit to 120 characters.

10.2.5.5Publisher.Begin with "PUBLISHER" followed by the data and limit to 100 characters.

10.2.5.6Title.Begin with "TITLE" followed by the data and limit to 150 characters.

10.2.5.7Abstract.Begin with "ABSTRACT" followed by the data and limit to 500 characters.

10.2.5.8Keywords in text.Begin with "KEYWORD" followed by the first keyword, a comma, the second keyword, etc., and limit to 500 characters.
