The Welding Procedures will be used by the Government to verify contractor designated welding responsibilities and implement weld procedures for each Contractor, Sub-contractor, or welding entity performing welding on specific work specifications.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific requirement delineated in the contract.

This DID supersedes DI-MISC-80875.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract. Reference. Requirements for Welding and Brazing Procedure and Performance Qualification S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248. Copies of this document may be obtained by contacting the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO).

2Format.The Welding Procedures shall be in the contractor's format.

3Content.The Welding Procedures shall include a title page specifying the following information:

3.1Contractor's name and address

3.2Contract number

3.3System name/identification number (i.e. hull number, tail number, etc.)

3.4Title of Procedure

3.5Procedure number

3.6Review/Approval Signatures

3.7The Welding Procedures shall contain all elementslisted in S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248, paragraph 4 for each applicable procedure. Sketches and drawings shall be included to fully describe or clarify the text material (if applicable).
