Description & Purpose

This data provides information to support the operation and maintenance of FAA or equivalent certified commercial type aircraft acquired/modified by the Government. Included in the data are product improvements, service information/letters and safety of flight information which affect the FAA or equivalent certification of the aircraft.

Application & Interrelationship

7.1 This Data Item Description contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the contract.

7.2 Data ranges in applicability from mandatory FAA airworthiness directives to informational advisory data. Data is based largely on experience of commercial/military users of similar type FAA or equivalent certified aircraft.

10.1Format.This data shall be in contractor format.

10.2Content.The types of data are prepared in accordance with prevailing commercial and FAA practices. The following data is applicable to aircraft and/or associated equipment.
