Provides the Government with Print or Broadcast Media Personnel Recruitment Advertisement that may be used on the mass media to recruit personnel.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
This DID is used in conjunction with DI-MISC-81312A, Collateral Personnel Recruitment Literature.
This DID supersede DI-MISC-81311.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.None.
2Format.Personnel Recruitment advertisements format shall be in Print or Broadcast (Radio/Video) Media, or both, as indicated on the Contract Date Requirements List (CDRL), DD Form 1423.
3Purpose.Personnel Recruitment Advertisement shall be structured to stimulate interest and responses for the best available qualified talent for a wide variety of positions in the following career fields:
3.8Various management support functions
3.9The contractor, utilizing creative and innovative approachesThe contractor, utilizing creative and innovative approaches, may select for a wide variety of forms those most appropriate to support major programs (e.g., cooperative education, college/university, affirmative action, prior military personnel), responsive to the priorities and staffing requirements stipulated in the contract. All media programs shall be coordinated as to reflect a unified approach, regardless of media used without lessening the value and effectiveness of each media program.
4Content.All Personnel Recruitment Advertisements shall consist of the following as appropriate for the media selected.
4.1Preliminary Print or Broadcast Media Advertisements.
4.1.1Working Outline.The Working Outline will include: The advertisement title; the advertisement program objectives; a summary of the advertisement program content; the length of printed advertisements (lines) or broadcast advertisements in hours, minutes, seconds, with a breakdown of times keyed to each topic; a list of visual aids; the methods of distribution to research the target audiences; and other information as appropriate.
4.1.2Detailed Manuscript.The approved Government working outline shall be the basis for the preparation of a preliminary detailed manuscript for print or broadcast media advertisements and shall contain all the information necessary to support the media advertisements and shall properties, shows, talents, sound effects, cueing, music, etc.,
4.2Final Print or Broadcast Media Advertisements.
4.2.1The final personnel recruitment print advertisement shall be identicalThe final personnel recruitment print advertisement shall be identical to the preliminary draft approved by the Government, including all the recommended Government changes incorporated herein.
