Description & Purpose
The Material Cure-Date Certification Report will provide the contracting agency the cure date marked on supplies lots/batches of contract line items. The contracting agency will use the cure-date information to identify the shelf life remaining on items received in the supply system.
Application & Interrelationship
3.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instruction for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
10.1Reference Document.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices and revisions shall be as specified in the contract.
10.2Format.The Material Cure-Date Certification Report shall be presented in a format similar to that of Figure 1. It shall display the contractor's quality assurance or other responsible official signature.
10.3Content.The report shall contain:
10.3.1The contracting agency's contract/purchase order number.
10.3.2The National Stock Number (NSN) of each contract line item supplied.
10.3.3The material lot/batch number supplied for each NSN.
10.3.4The cure date marked on the item shall be identified and shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129 for each lot/batch of each contract line item.
10.3.5The report shall specify the items shipping destination(s) (e.g., Naval Supply Center, Norfolk or "N00189") and the quantity of the lot/batch shipped to each destination.
