The Analytical Condition Inspection (ACI) Report will be used to reveal damage (flaw, defect, crack, corrosion, disbond, delamination, discontinuity, or other type that degrades or has the potential to degrade the performance of the affected component) that may not otherwise be detected through normal technical order (TO) and programmed depot maintenance (PDM) inspections and to provide data for engineering and technical evaluations of the relative condition of the mission, design and series (MDS) aircraft. Data generated through ACI Reports is used to refine mandatory aircraft inspection programs (field and depot).
This DID contains the format, content and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the technical requirements described in Task V of MIL-STD-1530, Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP), and Subtask 3 of MIL-STD-1798, Mechanical Equipment and Subsystems Integrity Program.

Preparation Instructions
1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.The ACI Report shall be in the contractor's format.
3Content.The ACI Report shall include the following information:
3.1ACI Work Instructionsfor each inspection/inspection location:
3.1.1Identification number.
3.1.2Part name/description of article to be inspected.
3.1.4Part criticality - safety or fracture critical, durability or maintenance (Mx) critical, normal controls, etc.
3.1.5Area/location of inspection.
3.1.6Reason for inspection.
3.1.7Frequency of inspection.
3.1.9Instructions for accessing article to be inspected.
3.1.10Inspection procedures and potential/anticipated damage.
3.2ACI Inspection Results:
3.2.1Pertinent aircraft identifying information:
3.2.1.1Aircraft mission design series (MDS).
3.2.1.2Aircraft serial number (SN).
3.2.1.3Base assignment history.
3.2.1.4Planned ACI start and end date.
3.2.1.5Actual ACI start and end date.
3.2.1.6Actual flight hours.
3.2.1.7Equivalent flight hours.
3.2.1.8Last programmed depot Mx date.
3.2.2Information for each inspection location:
3.2.2.1ACI work instruction identification number.
3.2.2.2Date of inspection.
3.2.2.3Description of inspected article condition.
3.2.2.4If damage found, damage classification (minor, major, or critical):
3.2.2.4.1Detailed description, sketches, drawings, and photographs documenting damage, for damage types, sizes, locations, and orientations.
3.2.2.4.2Part number and criticality classification.
3.2.2.4.3Work Unit Code for item with defect.
3.2.2.4.4How malfunction codes/root cause determination.
3.2.2.4.5Engineering and nondestructive inspection records.
3.2.2.4.6Action taken code/damage disposition (no action required, repair, replace, etc.) with documentation.
3.2.2.5Record of inspection:
3.2.2.5.1Date and time of inspection.
3.2.2.5.2Name and organization of inspector.
3.2.2.5.3Location of inspection (e.g., RAFB (Robins Air Force Base), HAFB (Hill Air Force Base), TAFB (Tinker Air Force Base), location of contractor facility, etc.).
