Description & Purpose
This Data Item Description (DID) describes the format and content necessary to prepare an Interoperability of NATO Aircraft and Stores Manual. This AOP provides compatibility data for NATO aircraft, stores, and suspension equipment.
Application & Interrelationship
This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the work task described by paragraph 1 of Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 3791AA. Copies of STANAG 3791AA and STANAG AAP-3 may be obtained from Commander, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, 5219 9th Street, Point Mugu, CA 93042-5001, Code 311200E.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.The format shall be in accordance with STANAG AAP-3, Procedures for Development, Preparation, Production, and the Updating of NATO Standardization Agreements (STANAGs) and Allied Publications (APs), Chapters 4 and 5.
2.1Sections.Arabic numbers shall be used of number sections throughout the publication. Each sections shall be separated from the next section in a manner that is easily accessible (e.g. tab dividers).
3Content.This AOP shall contain interface data for NATO aircraft, stores, and suspension equipment and shall define the role of each aircraft. The following sections may be included:
