The Special Tooling (ST)/Special Test Equipment (STE) Report will be used to track Government Furnished Property (GFP), tooling, and test equipment within the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) property management system.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the contract.

This DID supersedes DI-MISC-81538B and DI-MISC-81539B.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions shall be as specified in the contract.

2Format.The ST/STE Report shall be in electronic, Microsoft Office 2016-compatible format.

3Content.Characters in fields shall be of variable length, blank fill at the end of field to maximize size. Fields not required by Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) shall be blank filled. The ST/STE report shall include the following information, as required:

3.1ST/STE Required Information FileThe following information shall be included in the report for all new ST/STE:

3.1.1Platform or Application on which ST/STE is used

3.1.2Part Number on which ST/STE is used

3.1.3Item Description

3.1.4Type of Item (i.e., ST, STE, or Part)

3.1.5Acquisition Cost for ST/STE

3.1.6Demilitarization (DEMIL) Code (see DoD 4100.39-M Vol. 10)

3.1.7Duplicate Number (which copy of the basic tool is this)

3.1.8Secondary Serial Number or Barcode Number for ST/STE

3.1.9Manufactured Date of the ST/STE

3.1.10Contract Number

3.1.11Point of Contact (POC) Name

3.1.12POC Phone Number

3.1.13POC Email Address

3.1.14Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code
