The Craft Acceptance Test Schedule provides dates for conduct of each test procedure and associated information for test performance, informing the Government of scheduled testing to support test program monitoring.

The Craft Acceptance Test Schedule provides dates for conduct of each test procedure from Stage 2 through Stage 7 and associated information for test performance. The Craft Acceptance Test Schedule informs the Government of scheduled testing which assists in monitoring the test program and in arranging for required Government-provided support.

a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task required as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions

1General.The Craft Acceptance Test Schedule shall be based on the Craft Acceptance Test Index.

1.1The basic parameters of the Craft Acceptance Test Schedule shall include:

1.1.1Test start and test completion dates;

1.1.2Ordering of prerequisite test and event items; and,

1.1.3Test program problem areas.

2Format.The Craft Acceptance Test Schedule shall be presented in the Contractor's format.

3Content.The Craft Acceptance Test Schedule shall contain the following:

3.1Title/Cover Page.The Title/Cover Page shall provide a clear and direct statement as to the nature of the material to follow in the Craft Acceptance Test Schedule. It shall contain the following information:

3.1.1A title, e.g., CRAFT ACCEPTANCE TEST SCHEDULE;

3.1.2Craft Identification (Craft Hull Number);

3.1.3Schedule release date;

3.1.4Schedule report number;

3.1.5Contractor's name and address; and,

3.1.6Contract number.

3.2Milestone Chart.The Milestone Chart shall contain event balloons to display each stage 2 through 7 test procedures. Normal network paths shall be displayed by a solid line. The chart shall clearly display the correct relationship of each prerequisite test or event to each dependent or subsequent test or event.

3.2.1The activity duration lineThe activity duration line representing a time period consumed by equipment and documentation grooming and preparation shall be provided on the chart with a realistic activity duration magnitude which shall consider and include:

3.2.1.1Possible equipment failure and subsequent repairs:

3.2.1.2Difficult and/or time-consuming calibration and alignments;

3.2.1.3Equipment preparation specifically for testing (for example, test equipment hookups);

3.2.1.4Delays due to simultaneous work activities or test activities in given craft spaces or with needed tests or other equipment; and,

3.2.1.5Other potential time-consuming elements.

3.2.2The Milestones Network ChartThe Milestones Network Chart may be placed on as many sheets as necessary while still providing a reasonable and distinct interrelationship of the separate sheets of the Chart.

3.3Test Schedule Listing.The Test Schedule Listing shall be a tabular listing by test number which shall include the following columns:

3.3.1Test Procedure number in the same order as the Craft Acceptance Test Index;

3.3.2Test procedure revision letter;

3.3.3Test procedure title;

3.3.4Scheduled test start dates;

3.3.5Actual test start dates;

3.3.6Scheduled test completion dates;

3.3.7Actual test completion dates; and,

3.3.8Flag for change since the last schedule issue.

3.4Test Bar Graph Chart Schedule.The Test Bar Chart Schedule shall be a Gantt style chart with horizontal bars showing duration of test conduct and other tests related activities. The tests and activities shall be arranged to place those of the same Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) grouping together. For each test the chart shall indicate:

3.4.1Test procedure number;

3.4.2Test procedure title;

3.4.3Scheduled test start date;

3.4.4Schedule test completion date; and,

3.4.5Anticipated or actual changes from the scheduled dates (shown by dashed bars).
