The Equipment Operational Log is used for recording equipment operation and maintenance action(s) required during equipment operation for factory testing, evaluation, or as otherwise required.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task required as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
1Format.The existing format of the Log shall be maintained.
2Content.The Equipment Operational Log shall provide blocks/spaces for entering recorded data pertinent to equipment operation, and the maintenance action(s) required. The Log shall provide the following data:
2.1Equipment nomenclature and serial number
2.2Equipment operator (printed name and signature)
2.6Purpose, i.e., burn-in test, reliability/maintainability test
2.8Maintenance action(s) required, and equipment down time (and identification of failure/malfunction analysis report if prepared)
2.9Identification of part(s) repaired/replaced
2.10Remarks/comments-for recording operator action(s), equipment status changes, maintenance troubleshooting and repair action(s), assembly malfunctions symptoms, etc.
2.11A listing of definitions of abbreviations used in the Log shall be included in the Log.
2.12Multiple page Logs shall be sequentially page numbered, and bound together in the most economical manner.
