Schedules provide a systematic, planned sequence of starting and completing program actions, and establishing need dates for supporting requirements. They may also serve as periodic reports providing information on work progress, production effort, milestone completions, program/project progress, and ordering/receiving materials.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task required as delineated in the contract.
Preparation Instructions
1Format.Craft Construction Schedules shall be presented in the contractor's format.
2Content.Schedules shall be identical in all respects to those used by the contractor to manage the craft construction program. Schedule(s) shall portray in chronological sequence the actions/events/milestones/requirements with corresponding planned start/complete dates and actual start and complete dates which shall be retained on each issue of the schedule. As appropriate, a column/line/space shall be provided for comments: explanation of problems encountered, and/or any remarks providing clarification.
3Craft Construction Schedules shall include:
3.1Baseline Key Event Schedule.This schedule shall contain start and complete dates for Navy/Contractor agreed to significant construction and construction related events and activities selected from the contractor's various detailed production, design, and material schedules. Emphasis shall be placed on the interdependency of related events/activities. The schedule shall contain a minimum of 120 events/activities per year and will serve as a uniform baseline for monitoring and reporting by both the Navy and the Contractor. Schedule format will show Baseline, current estimated and actual dates and shall be used in conjunction with QPR's.
3.2Material Ordering Schedule.This schedule shall consist of the following information as applicable:
1) Items being ordered
2) Vendor
3) Applicable purchase order number
4) Applicable specification number
5) Scheduled and actual dates for purchase requisition processing
6) Schedule and actual dates of purchase order placement
7) Respective purchase order number
8) Respective purchase order vendor name
9) Release for manufacture, if required
10) Shipyard need dated to support production
11) Vendor promised delivery dates
12) Actual delivery dates
3.2.1This information shall be retained on each issue of the schedule.Equipment identified as long lead-time items shall be annotated on the schedule. The material ordering schedule shall be fully integrated with the Baseline Key Schedule.
NOTE: For Government Furnished Property, the schedule shall reflect dates specified in Schedule "A".
3.3Drawing Schedules.This schedule shall consist of a list of drawings with the following information as applicable:
1) Drawing Title
2) NAVSEA drawing number
3) Local drawing number
4) Craft number
5) Latest revision letter
6) Outstanding design change notices
7) Scheduled completion dates and actual completion dates
8) Validation dates
9) Date of Regulatory Body submittal and approval, if required.
3.3.1The Drawing Schedule shall include identification of original and current schedule dates.The Drawing Schedule shall also contain a list of Craft Equipment Drawings.
3.4Government Furnished Property Schedule (Exception Report).This schedule shall include identification of property, Schedule "A" item number, schedule date, promised date and source, and a brief description of production impact.
3.5Test Schedule.This schedule shall identify scheduled and actual dates for each test and shall be integrated with the Baseline Key Event Schedule.
3.6All schedules shall contain current information.Completion of each item on the schedules shall be indicated.
