The Craft Acceptance Test Index provides a complete listing of all Craft Industrial Test Procedures to be conducted during a craft test program.

a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task required as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions

1Format.The Craft Acceptance Test Index shall be presented in the Contractor's format.

2Content.The Craft Acceptance Test Index shall list by test number and title all contractor and Government-provided stage 2 through 7 shipboard industrial test procedures to be conducted during the Craft Test Program. The Craft Acceptance Test Index shall be comprised of the following parts:

2.1Title/Cover sheet.The Title/Cover Sheet shall contain a clear and direct statement as to the nature of the material to follow in the Craft Acceptance Test Index. The Title/Cover sheet shall include the following information:

2.1.1Title; i.e., Craft Acceptance Test Index

2.1.2Craft identification; i.e., craft hull number

2.1.3Index release date

2.1.4Index report number

2.1.5Contractor/preparatory name and address

2.1.6Contract number (when applicable)

2.2Revision Record.The revision record shall describe each change that is made to a revised page. It shall be in tabular format. The revision record shall include the following elements:

2.2.1Test procedure number

2.2.2Issue number

2.2.3Description of revision, i.e., addition, deletion, modification

2.2.4Cause for the revision, i.e., Test Change Proposal (TCP) number, Test Problem Report (TPR) number, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) number, etc.

2.3Index Listing.The Index Listing shall be tabular and include the following information for each test procedure:

2.3.1Test procedure number

2.3.2Test procedure title

2.3.3Test procedure revision and change level

2.3.4Test procedure preparation responsibility (contractor or Government)

2.3.5Test conduct responsibility (contractor or Government)

2.3.6Test requirement reference (specification section)

2.4Index Listing Sort.The primary sort for the listing shall be presented by test procedure number sequenced by using the five-digit Expanded Ship Work Breakdown Structure (ESWBS) or the NAVSEA Group (publication 0900-LP-039-9010)(i.e., 000,100,200,300,400,500,600,and 700) as applicable. Within each ESWBS Group the test procedure numbers shall be sequenced in order by SWBS SUBGROUP and ELEMENT (i.e., 242,243,244) or five-digit ESWBS, test stage number, and test serial number.
