The Randomizer Test Report provides the data necessary to evaluate and determine the effectiveness of randomizers incorporated into cryptographic products. Analysis of this report also provides a basis upon which equipment design improvement or refinement may be recommended.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
This DID supersedes DI-NDTI-80884.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.None.
2.1Document the Randomizer Test Data as follows.
2.1.1Cover Sheet.Shall contain Title, Contract Number, Procuring Activity, Contractor Identification, Acquisition Program Name, disclaimers (as provided by the procuring activity contracting officer), date, version number, security classification and any other appropriate descriptive data.
2.1.2Errata Sheet.Shall contain delimiting cumulative page changes from previous versions.
2.1.3Table of Contents.Shall contain paragraph numbers, paragraph names, and page numbers.
2.1.4List of illustrations, diagrams, charts and figures.
2.1.5Glossary of abbreviations, acronyms, terms, symbols, and notations used, and their definitions.
2.1.6Executive SummaryNot to exceed two pages, that briefly describes the Randomizer Test Report.
2.1.9Attachments and accompanying data storage media.
2.1.12Bibliography.List of reference sources and applicable documents.
2.2Specific Format Instructions.
2.2.1Abbreviations and acronyms shall be defined when first used in the text and shall be placed in the glossary.
2.2.2Pages shall be numbered separately and consecutively using Arabic numerals.Blank pages shall be numbered.
2.2.3Paragraphs shall have a short descriptive title and shall be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals.Numbering schemes beyond the fourth level (e.g., 4.1.2.5.8) are not permitted.
2.2.4Chapters shall begin on an odd-numbered (right hand) page.
2.2.5Column headings shall be repeated on subsequent pages if tabular material exceeds one page.
3Content.The Randomizer Test Report shall contain the following items:
3.1Description of sample data collection setup (devices used and other appropriate information).
3.2Details of data collection process.
3.3Details associated with each required data sample (part number, data rate, temperature, voltage, and other appropriate information).
3.4Explanation of format of accompanying sample data (binary, ASCII, etc.).
3.5Sample data in accompanying data storage media.
