Description & Purpose
3.1 The Packaging Test Plan identifies the assembly to be tested, test set-up, test equipment, test procedures, sample data sheets, test criteria, critical test conditions and overall test schedule.
3.2 The Packaging Test Plan provides information required to evaluate and monitor the contractor's planning for testing applicable to the packaging of an item.
Application & Interrelationship
7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
7.2 The Packaging Test Plan is related to the following DIDs:
a. Packaging Plan DI-PACK-80455
b. Packaging Test Report DI-PACK-80457
c. Packaging Cost Analysis DI-PACK-80458
Preparation Instructions
10.1Format.The Packaging Test Plan shall be in contractor's format.
10.2Content.The Packaging Test Plan content shall be as follows:
10.2.1Title Page.The title page shall include the contractor's name and address; contract number; project number; security classification; item, equipment or purchase description identification; and document title.
10.2.2Identification.Identify each system, subsystem, equipment, assembly, item, and component to be tested.
10.2.3Test Description.Identify and describe each test set-up at each level of test and include diagrams and sketches necessary to illustrate each test set-up.
10.2.4Test Equipment.Identify and describe all required test equipment including special jigs and fixtures.
10.2.5Test Procedures.Identify and describe each test procedure including test sequence, test parameters, and test participants.
10.2.6Test Data Sheets.Identify, describe, and include copies of sample test data sheets which illustrate test data to be documented and available for delivery for each level of test.
10.2.7Test Acceptance Criteria.Identify and describe the test acceptance criteria at each level of test and describe the procedures to be followed in the event of malfunction or failure.
10.2.8Critical Test Conditions.Identify and describe critical or unusual tests and test conditions.
10.2.9Test Schedule.Delineate a comprehensive and detailed test schedule.
10.2.10References.All appendices, drawings, sketches, illustrations, and tables shall be identified and shall be referenced in the appropriate elements of the plan.
