The Transportation Data Report shall be used by the acquiring activity for shipment planning purposes.

a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.

b. This DID is applicable to the acquisition of military systems and equipment.

c. The information contained in this DID should be applied during the Production and Deployment phases.

d. This DID supersedes DI-PACK-80877A.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2Format.Contractor format is acceptable.

3Content.The report shall document, in detail, transportation data on major end items, spare and repair parts, and ground support equipment and shall include the following:

3.1Containerization requirements, if any.

3.2Dimensions (length, width and height).

3.3Weight.

3.4Cube.

3.5National motor freight classification (NMFC).

3.6Uniform freight classification (UFC) or Standard Transportation Commodity Code (STCC).

3.7Less than truckload (LTL) or less than carload (LCL) ratings.

3.8Department of Defense (DoD) water commodity and special handling code.

3.9DoD air commodity and special handling code.

3.10DoD air dimension code.

3.11Freight description (noun).

3.12Hazardous material (specific identification).

3.13Submitter information.Indicate the submitter's name, title, and organization and the date of the report.
