The Proposed Spare Parts List identifies the contractor's recommended spare parts required to maintain a system under a given set of circumstances and duration and will be used to determine spare parts stocking levels.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the contract.
b. This DID supersedes DI-ILSS-80134A.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.None.
2Format.Contractor's format shall be acceptable.
3Content.The Proposed Spare Parts List shall contain the contractor's recommended quantities of every type of spare part required for the system, to include all consumable and expendable items. This list shall explain any assumptions, formulas, or models used by the contractor in the creation of the list and shall include the following:
3.2Prime manufacturer's or vendor's part number.
3.3Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code
3.4National Stock Number (NSN).
3.5Quantity per end item.
3.6Unit of issue (e.g., each, feet, lot).
3.8Recommended quantity to sustain operation for the time period and under the conditions stated in the contract.
3.9Alpha numeric numbering of items on list.
3.10Shelf life (if not indefinite).
3.11Mean-Time-Between Failure (MTBF) of each item.
3.12Production lead time for each item
3.13Explanatory narrative which describes the recommended quantity to take into account multiple end items at a single location.
