To provide visibility of Government Furnished Material (GFM) inventories by National Stock Number (NSN) and Part Number.

a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.

b. This DID supersedes DI-ILSS-80727.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference Documents.None

2Format.The items shall be ordered first by contract number; within each contract number ordered by contract line item number (CLIN) or exhibit line item number (ELIN); within each CLIN or ELIN ordered by GFM line item. The GFM by NSN shall be in one of the following formats:

2.1Electronic media specified by the Acquirer, or

2.2Contractor format.

3Content.The GFM by NSN shall cover all GFM items in the inventory. The following information shall be provided for each GFM item:

3.1Contract number.

3.2CLIN or ELIN to which each NSN and Part Number of GFM is applicable.

3.3NSN of GFM.

3.4Part Number of GFM.

3.5Inventory requirements (e.g., usage rates) that the contractor establishes to achieve the performance required by the contract.

3.6Quantity on hand.

3.7Unit price of GFM.

3.8Existing Government inventory that the contractor manages against the inventory requirements that the contractor establishes to achieve the performance required by the contract.

3.9Existing Government inventory that the contractor holds in excess against the inventory requirements that the contractor establishes to achieve the performance required by the contract.

3.10Narrative supporting rationale for any GFM line item, which the contractor recommends to remain in an excess position.

3.11Proposed actions for the reuse or disposal of Government inventory identified by the contractor as excess to meeting contract requirements.
