The Deleted, Relocated, and Altered Items List (DRAIL) will provide logisticians, program managers, and engineers with a consolidated list of components that are removed, relocated, or altered as a result of a system modification. DRAIL data are used for maintenance planning, reliability and maintainability analysis, supply support, and in-service feedback.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use of information for the data product resulting from the work task described by the contract.
The data may be obtained during any program life cycle phase.
This DID supersedes DI-PSSS-82159.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.Contractor's format is acceptable. The DRAIL shall be in a format similar to that of Figure 1.
3Content.The DRAIL shall contain all of the information specified in Figure 1. All fields shall be included. Fields which do not require data shall be left blank. The information shall be included to the lowest indenture level (component level) specified in the contract.
3.1Media Requirement:The DRAIL shall be provided as an electronically editable, machine-readable, Comma Separated Values (CSV) text file with alphanumeric fields enclosed in double quotation marks.
