The Spare Parts Delivery Status (SPDS) will provide logisticians, program managers, and other stakeholders with a consolidated list of spare parts procured on a contract and their delivery status. SPDS data are used to manage and track parts deliveries. These data may be obtained during any program life cycle phase.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use of information for the data product resulting from the work task described by the contract SOW.
This DID supersedes DI-PSSS-82234.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2Format.Contractor's format is acceptable. The SPDS shall be in a format similar to that of Figure 1. Separate tabs may be used to denote separate contract actions or fiscal years.
3Content.The SPDS shall contain all of the information specified in Figure 1. All fields shall be included. Fields which do not require data shall be left blank. The information shall be included for all spare parts procured on the contract. If the same part number is delivered in separate shipments, separate lines shall be used. Additional information or color coding may be included if necessary to accurately communicate spare parts delivery status. All color coding shall be defined by a key included in the document.
4Media Requirement:The SPDS shall be provided as an electronically editable file compatible with Microsoft Excel.
