Training Systems Sustainment Bill of Materials (TSS BOM)

The Training Systems Sustainment Bill of Materials (TSS BOM) comprises the support and support-related engineering and logistics data acquired from contractors using support analysis information collected during the design, development, and initial fielding process of a training system or training end item. This includes data for maintenance planning, logistics design requirements, reliability and maintainability, system safety, supply support, initial sparing, and item management; providing information that can be used to establish the production status of parts used in a training system and identify supply chain risks so they can be mitigated during the development of the training system.

This DID contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.

The TSS BOM will also provide Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) management-essential information that enables the identification, forecasting, mitigation, and management of Hardware and Software obsolescence as a part of the Department of Defense (DoD) Program Manager's Total System Life Cycle Management responsibilities. The data will be used in DMSMS forecasting tools to allow for standard and efficient sharing of information on common items.
