The In-Process Subassembly Inspection/Test Summary Report is a summary of inspection and test data and all in-process and subassembly failures. Each summary report is limited to an equipment type such as space, ground, etc.
The report is used to evaluate the quality of parts during various phases of manufacture and assembly.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement for this data included in the contract.
This report is required when equipment parts are subject to in-process and subassembly testing.
This DID supercedes DI-QCIC-80375.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.None.
2Format.The In-Process Subassembly Inspection/Test Summary Report shall be provided in contractor format.
3Content.The report shall contain the following information:
3.1Title Page that includes:
3.1.2Equipment nomenclature.
3.1.4Security classification of the report.
3.1.6Name(s) and official title(s) of the preparer(s) of the report.
3.1.7Signature of authorized company representative.
3.2Brief introduction that includes the scope and purpose of the report.
3.3A summary of all in-process and subassembly inspection/test data shall be listed by defect and also by subassembly and/or part.The summary include the following information (data shall be based on "first time seen"):
3.3.2Subassembly part number.
3.3.3Subassembly serial number.
3.3.4Subassembly reference designator.
3.3.7Part referenced designator.
3.3.10Manufacturer's part number.
3.3.11Reference Failure Analysis Report (FAR) number and Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) number.
3.3.12FAR dash number (i.e., 3-2 indicates third failure of a part number and the second failure of the part number in the mode).
3.3.13Quantity of each subassembly tested that month.
3.3.14Quantity of each subassembly failed that month.
3.3.15Percentage of Printed Wiring Assembly (PWA) requiring touch-up and top five defects.
3.3.16Percentage (yield) from PWA pre-conformal coat test, in-circuit test and functional test including top five defects found during each respective test.
3.3.17Percentage (yield) from PWA post-conformal coat functional test/inspection including top five defects found.
3.3.18Percentage (yield) from remaining sub-assembly (cables, harnesses, etc) inspection/test including top five defects found.
3.4Histograms which reflect the recorded variables in 3.3 above.
