The Incoming Inspection Summary Report is a summary of the results of an incoming inspection including contractor source inspection of all parts associated with an equipment type. Each summary report is limited to an equipment type such as space, ground, etc.
The report is used to evaluate the quality of material being received from outside sources.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task equipment for this data included in the contract.
This report is required when equipment parts are subject to incoming inspections.

Preparation Instructions
1Reference documents.None.
2Format:The Incoming Inspection Summary Report shall be in contractor format.
3Content:The summary report shall contain the following information:
3.1A title page which shall contain the following:
3.1.2Equipment nomenclature.
3.1.4Security classification of the report.
3.1.6Name(s) and official title(s) of the preparer(s) of the report.
3.1.7Signature of an authorized company representative.
3.2Brief introduction that includes the scope and purpose of the report.
3.3Brief description of the incoming test procedures and objectives.
3.4A summary of all parts receiving an incoming inspection in tabular form, whenever possible, shall include the following information:
3.4.1Part type, part number, vendor, and vendor part number.
3.4.2Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) Number (if applicable).
3.4.3Lot size (by lot date code).
3.4.4Quantity inspected - by lot date code (including sampling level used, if applicable).
3.4.5Quantity rejected - by lot date code.
3.4.7Disposition (including corrective action implemented).
3.5Histograms which reflect the recorded variables in 3.4 above.
