Description & Purpose
The Watertight Integrity Status Bill (WISB) provides the Navy with information to determine whether the shipbuilder is maintaining the watertight integrity status on all hull penetrations.

7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement(s) as delineated in the contract.

Preparation Instructions
10.1Reference documentThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including the approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
10.2FormatThe report shall be in contractor's format.
10.3ContentThe report shall be as specified in NAVSEA publication 0905-485-6010, Manual for the Control and Testing of Ship Conditions, and shall contain the following:
10.3.1Draft, trim and list limits currently in effect and any permissible changes thereto.
10.3.2Condition of hull penetrations and other factors affecting watertight integrity.
10.3.3A description (drawing) of emergency communications, lighting and alarms together with the location of operating switches.
10.3.4Location of pumping facilities.
10.3.5Backup and emergency shore electric power supplies.
10.3.6A listing of hull penetrations below the control water plane as defined in the ship specifications.
10.3.7The authorized methods of closure for each hull penetration.
10.3.8A list of hull penetrations above the control water plane which are not in their normal, as-built condition, as shown on ship construction drawings.
10.3.9The status of the sonar dome.
10.3.10The current status of interior liquid tanks with capacity exceeding 150 cubic feet.
