Description & Purpose
3.1 The Sampling Design Plan describes the contractor's method for sampling under the contractor's quality assurance system.
3.2 The Sampling Design Plan is used by the monitoring agency to assure that the sampling approach provides for the achievement of the desired level of quality.
Application & Interrelationship
7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data resulting from the work task described by MIL-STD-105.
7.2 This DID may be used on any contract which is delivery order or task order oriented.
Preparation Instructions
10.1Reference documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
10.2Content.The Sampling Design Plan shall contain the following:
10.2.1Description of the sampling procedure.
10.2.2Sampling rationale.
10.2.3Procedural details.
10.3Format.The Sampling Design Plan shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the statement of work and 4. of MIL-STD-105. The plan shall address and provide procedures for: Technical audits, corrective action, subcontractor services, Government evaluation and inspection of data, graphs, worksheets, charts, etc.
