The Software Quality Assurance Report will be used to ensure process and product conformance to technical requirements for quality, reliability, and functional performance, identify problems, and initiate corrective actions and quality improvements. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content and intended use information for the data product resulting from the work task and is applicable to the acquisition of program software requirements.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be cited in the contract.

2Format.Contractor is format acceptable.

3Content.The Software Quality Assurance Report shall contain the following:

3.1Shall include tables, charts, narrative analysis.

3.2Shall include a description of the quality status, any problem(s), corrective action taken, and recommendations for the following areas:

3.2.1Database availability, patches applied, and tuning activities.

3.2.2Metrics on software defect correction and software enhancement, including hours per module, number of modules affected and process adherence.

3.2.3Configuration Management of the database and software modules.
