Description & Purpose

This item describes the contents of a hazard assessment test report. The test report is used to evaluate the safety and insensitive munitions characteristics of non-nuclear ordnance.

Application & Interrelationship

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for data generated by the "Hazard assessment test report" paragraph of MIL-STD-2105.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2FormatThe test report shall be formatted in accordance with MIL-STD-831 or the contractor's style as specified in the contract.

3ContentsThe report shall include the following:

3.1The name (type) of the test(s) covered by the report

3.2Rationale for any deviations from the test plan

3.3Test item configuration and identification

3.4Test date

3.5Test resultsSee 4 below.

3.6Safety and vulnerability-related conclusions drawn from the test results

4Test resultsThe test results shall be described using the terms and definitions as specified in MIL-STD-2105.
