This data comprises the test and inspection conditions and results of the 40-foot drop test. It is to provide a basis for evaluating the safety response of the test item subjected to free-fall impact stress loads.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for data generated by the 40-foot drop test of MIL-STD-2105. The following DID is used in conjunction with this DID and applies only if listed on the DD Form 1423 incorporated into the contract: DI-SAFT-81126 Photographic Requirements.
