Description & Purpose

This data comprises the test and inspection conditions of the fast cook-off test. It is used to determine the response of a test item engulfed in a liquid fuel fire.

Application & Interrelationship

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for data generated by the fast cook-off test of MIL-STD-2105.

The following DID is used in conjunction with this DID and applies only if listed on the DD Form 1423 incorporated into the contract:

Preparation Instructions

10.1FormatThe fast cook-off test data shall be formatted in accordance with figures 1, 2 and 3.

10.2ContentThe fast cook-off test data shall include the information on figures 1, 2 and 3, and the following:

10.2.1Location and identification of the post-test remainsdepicted onto figure 2.

10.2.2Description, location (linear and angular distance from original test position), dimensions and weight of the post-test remainstabulated onto figure 3.
