A Notice of Revision (NOR) describes the proposed changes to a technical document being requested by an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP).

a. This DID contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in EIA-649-1 and the principles of EIA-649 (Copies of these standards are available online at www.sae.org or from SAE International, 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096-0001, Tel 877-606-7323 [inside USA and Canada] or 724-776-4970 [outside USA]).

b. This DID may be used in conjunction with DI-SESS-80639, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP), and DI-SESS-80643, Specification Change Notice (SCN).

c. This DID supersedes DI-SESS-80642D.

d. An electronic version of DD Form 1695, Notice of Revision (NOR), is available online at https://www.esd.whs.mil/dd/.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference Documents.The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2Format.The NOR shall be in one of the following formats:

2.1DD Form 1695, Notice of Revision (NOR),

2.2The schema required by the Acquirer's Integrated Digital Environment (IDE), or

2.3The Supplier's preferred format.

3Content.The NOR shall contain all the information required by DD Form 1695.
