The Configuration Audit Summary Report and Certification provides a listing of text and marked-up technical documents (e.g., specifications, engineering drawings) that identify discrepancies between the materiel (including software) and the requirements delineated in the applicable technical documents. The Configuration Audit Summary Report and Certification also provides a documented certification that the audit was completed and any discrepancies have been properly adjudicated.
a. This DID contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in EIA-649-1 and the principles of EIA-649 (Copies of these standards are available online at www.sae.org or from SAE International, 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096-0001, Tel 877-606-7323 [inside USA and Canada] or 724-776-4970 [outside USA]).
b. This DID is applicable to contracts that require the Supplier to perform a configuration audit of materiel and applicable technical documents. Both the Configuration Audit Summary Report and Configuration Audit Certification shall be required when this DID is invoked.
c. This DID may be used in conjunction with a contractual requirement for a Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), or any other audit used to identify discrepancies between materiel and the applicable technical documents.
d. This DID supersedes DI-SESS-81022D.
