The Verification, Demonstration, and Evaluation Plan describes the contractor's program for verifying, demonstrating, and evaluating the maintenance and logistic support characteristics of the system. The plan provides Government visibility to the contractor's approach for assessing the Integrated Product Support (IPS) program.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.

Preparation Instructions

2FormatThe Verification, Demonstration, and Evaluation Plan shall be contractor selected. Unless effective presentation would be degraded, the initially used format arrangement shall be used for all subsequent submissions.
3ContentThe Verification, Demonstration, and Evaluation Plan shall describe the contractor's three-phase program for providing progressive assurance that the IPS contractual requirements have been met. The plan shall cover the verification, demonstration, and evaluation program identified in the contract statement of work. The plan shall include the following:

3.2Schedules and duration
3.3Data recording rules and assessment techniques
3.4Number of units and mission mix as appropriate
3.5Procedures to compensate for differences in demonstration environment from operational environment
3.6The availability of units and support elements for testing
3.7Effort directed to evaluating specific support elements(e.g., technical manuals, repair parts, facilities, ground support equipment, etc.)
3.8Support for Government conducted testing
3.9Ground rules to be followed in conducting the demonstration
