The Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) Information provides details about the current configuration of items being developed for and used in the Department of Defense inventory, documentation and identification numbers relating to those items, and changes to the items and their configuration documentation. This information is needed to manage and provide support during the lifecycle of those items.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in EIA-649-1, Configuration Management Requirements for Defense Contracts, and the principles of EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard (copies of these standards are available online at www.sae.org or from SAE International, 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096-0001, Tel 877-606-7323 [inside USA and Canada] or 724-776-4970 [outside USA]).
This DID supersedes DI-SESS-81253D.
Preparation Instructions
1Reference DocumentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
2FormatThe CSA Information shall be in the contractor's format.
