The Technical Directive (TD) provides the authority and instructions to accomplish and record a material change, repositioning, modification, an alteration, or inspection of the equipment or software to which it applies.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data described by the current version of NAVAIR SOP 00-25-300.

This DID applies to aircraft, weapons, equipment, support equipment, trainers, training devices, and companion software items. This DID does not apply to intelligence processing equipment.

This DID contains the format, content and preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific task requirement as delineated in the contract.

This DID supersedes DI-SESS-81269C.

Preparation Instructions

1Reference documentsThe applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2FormatThe TD shall be prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Appendices A through G of the current version of NAVAIR SOP 00-25-300.

3ContentTDs shall contain instructions and information which direct the accomplishment and recording of a material change, repositioning, modification, or alternation in the characteristics of the equipment to which it applies. A TD shall be used to direct that parts or material be added, removed, altered, relocated, or changed from the existing configuration. Content requirements shall be as specified in the current version of NAVAIR SOP 00-25-300.
